How does Palomar laser leg vein treatment work? Lasers deliver concentrated light in a specific wavelength of the spectrum. The pulses of light cause the blood within the leg vein to heat. The heat of the blood affects the vessel lining, which causes the vessel to constrict and disintegrate and eventually fade from view. |
Can the treatment be used to get rid of unwanted facial veins? The Palomar Laser can also be used on facial veins to eliminate veins. Pulses of light are used in the same manner as described above. |
What are Palomar laser leg vein treatments like? Laser Derm’s Laser Tech will move the Laser hand-piece over your skin, following the length of the vein while subjecting the vein with pulsed light. Each pulse will send a beam of light through your skin. A flashing light, an audible tone, and a mild sensation on the skin will tell you when the hand-piece is being pulsed. |
How is Palomar pulsed light different from a laser? Pulsed light systems and lasers are very similar, but Palomar Pulsed Light Systems use a much larger treatment window than most lasers.
